Musicians of Krewe de Voix

Our singers are among the finest, funniest and most creative musicians in New Orleans.  You can find us singing in professional church choirs, at the concerts of our sister chamber ensembles in southern Louisiana, in early music ensembles throughout the United States, and just about anywhere music is happening.  We are dedicated to making music in the intimate setting of a small ensemble, and in particular the music of the Renaissance and Baroque (16th and 17th centuries).  However, our singers’ interests extend from opera and solo art song, to jazz and Broadway, all of which inform the creative performances we bring to New Orleans.

The Krewe de Voix was formed in 2016 by Paul Weber, a conductor, composer and organist who relocated to New Orleans in January of that same year.  Paul is organist and choirmaster at Trinity Episcopal Church on Jackson Avenue, where he directs the semi-professional Trinity Choir.  Previously, he was director of university ensembles at Franciscan University of Steubenville, and director of music at St. Martin of Tours church in Louisville.  An active concert organist, he has been heard recently at the cathedrals of St. Paul, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Phoenix, at the Piccolo-Spoleto Festival, and at the national conventions of the Organ Historical Society and Church Music Association of America.  A prolific composer of choral music, his choral works are published by international publishing company, Choralife.
